DR. OSWALD THOMAS COLMAN GOMIS - It is with deep regret that we announce the demise of His Grace the Most Rev. Dr. Oswald Thomas Colman Gomis,​ Archbishop Emeritus of Colombo on Friday the 3rd February 2023. He is the beloved son of the late Mr. Vincent Gomis and the late Mrs. Mary Florida. For public respect,​ his remains will lie in state at St. Anne’s Church,​ Pilapitiya,​ Kelaniya until 12 noon on 4th February 2023. Thereafter his remains will be taken to St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Anuradhapura. His remains will be received at 5.00 pm on Sunday the 5th February at the Kotahena roundabout and taken in procession to St. Lucia’s Cathedral. The Requiem Mass will be held on Monday,​ the 6th February at 3.00 pm at St. Lucia’s Cathedral followed by burial in the Cathedral Crypt. Archbishop’s House,​ Borella.007900

Loving mother-in-law of Srimila, grandmother of Andrew and Jason (St. Joseph's College) passed away peasefully. Remains lie at 164/​5,​ Kirimatiyagara,​ Kadawatha.
