DR. OSWALD THOMAS COLMAN GOMIS - It is with deep regret that we announce the demise of His Grace the Most Rev. Dr. Oswald Thomas Colman Gomis,​ Archbishop Emeritus of Colombo on Friday the 3rd February 2023. He is the beloved son of the late Mr. Vincent Gomis and the late Mrs. Mary Florida. For public respect,​ his remains will lie in state at St. Anne’s Church,​ Pilapitiya,​ Kelaniya until 12 noon on 4th February 2023. Thereafter his remains will be taken to St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Anuradhapura. His remains will be received at 5.00 pm on Sunday the 5th February at the Kotahena roundabout and taken in procession to St. Lucia’s Cathedral. The Requiem Mass will be held on Monday,​ the 6th February at 3.00 pm at St. Lucia’s Cathedral followed by burial in the Cathedral Crypt. Archbishop’s House,​ Borella.007900

MOLLIGODA VIVIENNE - (Retired English Teacher Kegalle) - Beloved wife of late Richard. Loving mother of Prasanna,​ Vivanjani and Sudhanthi,​ loving mother-in-law of Priyanthi,​ Milroy and Rukmal. Loving grandmother of Sanjalee & Thanuka,​ Sumali & Nimalan,​ Ruchini,​ Ranga and Himani. Called to eternal rest with Jesus on 27th January 2023. Beloved husband of Asoka,​ loving father of Duminda,​ Chandima & Himali,​ father-in-law of Lily,​ Thushan and Dileep,​ brother of Arthur,​ passed away peacefully on 01st February 2023. Remains will lie at “The Restpect Home” by Jayaratne’s,​ Colombo 08 from 8.30 am to 10.00 pm on Saturday,​ 04th February 2023 and from 8.00 am on Sunday,​ 05th February.
