REV. FR. THUSITH PRADEEP FERNANDO of the Archdiocese of Colombo, expired on Sunday, the 22nd Janaury 2023. He is the beloved son of Mr W.J. Francis Fernando and Mrs R. Rita Fernando. His remains will lie in state at St. Anthony’s Church, Kadalana, Moratuwa. On 24th January, at 10.00 a.m. his remains will be taken to St. Rogus’ Church, Delatura and at 6.00 p.m. remains will be transferred to St. Anne’s Church, Palangatura. The Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, the 25th of January at 3.00 p.m. followed by Burial at the R.C. Cemetery, Palangatura, Negombo. Archbishop’s House, Borella.004831
ALHAJ MOHAMED NAZEER RASHEED passed away peacefully in New York after a prolonged illness on 17th January 2023 and burial took place on 18th January at “Hillside Cemetery”, Cortland Manor, New York. He is the beloved husband of Pauline nee Ratnayake, much loved son of late S.A.M. Rasheed and late Hajiyani Abida Umma, loving son-in-law of late Vernon and late Ivy Ratnayake, affectionate brother of Khaneez, Zaneeya, Zeeniya and Nazeera, loving brother-in-law of late Hamza, late Nawfer, Ravi Widyalankara, Brian, late Dierdre, Marcia and Adrian Ratnayake and Therese Cooray, everloving uncle of Hazmar, Afzal, Zainab, Roshan and Claudine, dearly beloved grand uncle of Hayyan, Areeb, Haazim and Ameera.004957
LAWRENCE - CYRIL, Passed away peacefully at the age of 97 years on Sunday, 22nd January.
