Ratmalana Depot of Metropolitan Bus Company, peacefully passed away on
Sunday, 23rd October while under treatment at the Nagoda Hospital,
Kalutara. He was the beloved husband of Rita Perera, father of Anne
Virginia, and Jude Sulochana, his daughter and son; father-in-law of
Lasantha and Bhagya, grandfather of Christeene, Melita and Meldon,
late Benedict, the younger brother of E. Weerapperuma - former Associate
Editor of Daily News, Deputy Editor, Sunday Observer; brother of W.K.
Francis - former President, Labour Tribunal and Magistrate and brother of
late Mary Concy - School Teacher; brother-in-law of late Hubert Perera and
late Bridget Wijegunawardene - School Teacher; uncle of Drs. Ruwan and
Nilushi; Dilini and Wasantha; Shanika and Ruwin; Asanka and Udesha; Nilanka
and Nirosha; Prayantha and Achala, Manoja and Ranga; Krishanthi and
Sajitha. Cortege will leave his residence at Miriswatte, Minuwangoda at
3.00 p.m. today, for burial at the Catholic Cemetery at Polwatta Church
