Beloved eldest daughter of (late) Gerard Fernando & (late) Rachelle Fernando,​ beloved wife of Senaka Fernando,​ loving mother of Lihini & Hirosh,​ loving mother-in-law of Dulani & Sachith,​ sister of Priyani Rajakaruna (late),​ Sobani Mendis & Marini Fernando,​ passed away on 21st June. Family funeral takes place on Thursday,​ 23rd of June 2022. Cortege leaves the residence (No. 212,​ Lyra,​ Kadawatha Road,​ Wennappuwa) at 4.00 p.m. for Burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.037797

WEERATNE - MYRA WEERATNE (nee SENERATNE) - Retired Teacher (June 5,​ 1929 - June 15,​ 2022) beloved wife of late Group Captain Bandula Weeratne,​ formerly of Katubadde,​ Moratuwa,​ passed away peacefully at the age of 93,​ in Calgary,​ Alberta,​ Canada. She was born in Colombo,​ Sri Lanka to late Lydia and George Seneratne. Her siblings : Estelle De Silva,​ Paul Seneratne,​ Eunice De Silva,​ Chloe Buell and Priscilla David and her in-laws : Iris Karunaratne,​ Raja Weeratne and Laksman Weeratne have all preceded her on this journey. She is survived by her dearest sister-in-law Theja Weeratne. She leaves behind three daughters : Ramani Fernando (Spouse of Suraj Fernando),​ Sanja Fernando (Spouse of Anuj Fernando) and Shahani Kariyawasam (Spouse of Doug Cronk),​ many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
