DE SILVA - ELMO IVAN, Former Deputy Director General of Sri Lanka Customs, dearly beloved husband of late Naomi De Silva (nee Senewirathna), loving father of Suleka and Sonali, much loved father-in-law of Dr Parakrama Herath and Dr Suresh Jayasundara, loving grandfather of Aroshana, Archana and Praveena, loving brother of late Mervyn, late Sheila and of Esther and Vera (Bay), loving brother-in-law of Clera, late Earlred and of Eshton and Condrad, was called to rest on 10th December 2021. PANDITA - GUNAWARDENA - (Dr DAYA), passed away in his sleep on 17 November in England, where he had lived and worked for 55 years. He was the son of Justice V T and Mrs Irene Pandita Gunawardena, dearly beloved husband of Dr Ranjani, caring father of Shalini, Samantha and Suren, doting grandfather of twins Ethan and Ella and of Roisin, father-in-law of Jamie Last and of Brendan O’Malley, brother of Achala De Alwis and a tremendous help to his home-help Rupa. He was a well-respected Consultant Physician since 1975. A Cremation Ceremony will take place in Croydon and the ashes will later be interred at the family burial plot in Ratmalana.080280

Prof. PREETHIKA ANGUNAWELA (Former Professor of Pathology, Medical Faculty of Colombo), beloved wife of Brian, loving mother of Ranil and Manoj, much loved mother-in-law of Diluka and Shehara, adoring grandmother of Aheli, Ethan and Ahain, expired. Remains lie at 29/7, 7th Lane, Kandawatte Road, Battaramulla. Cortege leaves residence at 4 p.m. on 11th December 2021 for Cremation at General Cemetery, Borella at 5 p.m.080889
