Govt.only interested in Ranjan’s phone controversy - MP Hesha - January 22, 2020 at 11:07PM

The Government is using Ranjan Ramanayake’s phone recordings to hide its failures since elected, stated Parliamentarian Hesha Withanage said yesterday.

He was addressing a press briefing at the Opposition Leader’s office.

“The country is facing a number of burning issues.Yet none of them are being addressed as the Government is too busy with phone recordings. The people should not be misled by these tapes”.

He further stated, “The media and the people were engrossed in the Easter Sunday attacks and the subsequent investigations are now only interested in the Ranjan Ramanayake issue.I request the people not ignore what is happening in the country just because of some tapes,” Withanage said.
