SATHIANANTHAN - VEERASINGHAM - of Urumpirai, Jaffna (Retired Assistant Director of Agriculture), passed away peacefully on Sunday 27th August 2017 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his parents, the late Dr. K.V. and Mrs. Verasingham and his beloved wife Mrs. Wigneswary Sathiananthan. He will be sadly missed by his loving children, Dr. Usha Singanayagam and Prof. Sathi Sukumar and son and daugther-in-law Dr. Jeyakumar and Dr. Pathmajani, respectively. He was the treasured grandfather of Varshini, Krishni, Nimalesh, Sivesh and Priyani, grandfather-in-law of Niruban and Kushendra and dearly cherished great grandfather of Soraya and Kalesh, brother of Paramananthan and Yogeswary and late Maheswary, Sivananthan and Puleswary.
